![]() Blissfield Young Astronauts is an after school academic enrichment program for those students in grades 4 and 5 that are interested in the history of flight, the space race, the space shuttle, and the International Space Station. Learning takes place through curriculum designed by Mr. Emery. Using books, videos, the internet, NASA resources, experiments and computer software and simulations, our Young Astronauts explore space-related topics. Students also build and launch their own rockets. They even get to eat foods that are like those eaten on the Gemini, Apollo, Space Shuttle and Space Station missions. In the past, field trips have been taken to Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama, Space Camp at the Kennedy Space Center, and to Washington D.C. Students interested in joining Young Astronauts should see Mr. Emery.
