Thinking Green...I sure hope so! Since the 5th grade TEAM is embracing the challenge to help make our school more green!
Scrappin Away:One of the coolest parts of our classroom are the scrapbooks that we will be creating. Once finished these scrapbooks will contain projects, pictures, and writings that the students have done throughout the year. A little about me:My name as you all know is Christina Shearer and I was born in West Virginia. We moved to Tecumseh, MI when I was 2 and have been there ever since. I graduated from Siena Heights University with my teaching degree in 2000 and have been here at Blissfield ever since. (Yes, I was one of those blessed students who got to be under Mrs. Crane while she was at Siena Heights.) I love teaching and am so happy to be a part of the Blissfield Elementary School Staff. Along with teaching I spend my time swimming, reading, scrapbooking or playing with my two beautiful nieces! Ellie begins 1st grade this year, so she will not be coming to visit. However, I am sure "HI" (aka Addie) will come visit at some point. Your classroom...your second home:Your classroom this year is going to be your second home. You will spend many hours in there learning, reading, and hanging out with your classmates. Please remember to treat it with care and respect. We have some awesome things in our room such as a reading area, benches, and stools. We also will get to use the courtyard that is attached to our classroom on a regular basis. Our room is a place where each students is encouraged to come as they are and do their best to learn. We emphasis a team effort not only in our room, but for the 5th grade as a whole. We all need each other to succeed! Boxtops for Education:I have added to my home sight a cool link that I found in regards to box tops for education. This very worthy program allows the PTO to do some programming with the students, purchase supplies for teacher, help out with the BELL and more. This sight allows you to track how Blissfield is doing and also has a marketplace that allows you to do some internet shopping and the stores will kick back a percentage of the purchases to the school.
