Invertebrate Report Directions!

These reports are what we call research papers! You are going to research an invertebrate and write a paper on it!

Please work on the steps below and try to follow date guidelines!

1._______________________________________ is my animal of choice!

2. Using the colored note cards write down important facts about your animal. (Remember you do not need to do full sentences on these sheets…just take notes)

3. The note cards are due by Next Friday…December 7^th. These cards should have plenty of details to write a 6-8 paragraph report! You will have time in class to work on your note cards and we will visit the school library two times to write down information. Part of your searching for information will have to be done on your own time. You may use the internet or go to the local library. If you have ABSOLUTLEY no way of finding more information…see Mrs. Holt, she will print you off a few pages to take home!

4. Starting Monday the 10^th we will begin turning your notes into a paper. On this day you will be given an outline that lay’s out the basic order of your paper. Your rough draft will be due on Wednesday the 12^th. (This will be homework on Tuesday night to work on and you will have some class time!) I will collect them on this day and Mrs. Holt, Mrs. Gorski or I will schedule some time to look at it with you.

5. Rough drafts will come home on Friday and are due typed on Tuesday the 18^th! If there is no way for you to type your paper at home, grandma’s, friends, etc. please let me know. We will try our hardest to help you out! Your papers can be emailed to me cshearer@blissfield.k12.mi.us, brought in on a flash drive or CD!
