*Updates*

*Our 100th Day celebration is still scheduled for Monday, Feb. 13th. Attached is a baggie with a little "homework" for your child. Please help your child fill the bag with a collection of "100" items. Have them count out 10 piles of 10. Some suggestions are pop tabs, hair bands, marshmallows, toothpicks, M & M's, pennies, small legos, paper clips, silly band bracelets or anything that will not roll or get smashed. Please send in your child's collection by Friday!

*Our Valentine celebration will be on Tuesday, Feb. 14th.  Please feel free to send in finished Valentine's as soon as they are done.

 *Reminders*

**PLEASE be sure to send boots, snow pants, hat and gloves/mittens everyday!  

* Fridays are "Kindergarten" T-shirt day. Please send your child to school with their gray shirt.

*Wednesdays are library day. Please return library books and "baggie books".

* We have 22 students for snack.  NOTE: 22 identical snacks are preferred.

*Our kindergarten classrooms collect clean frosting containers, Borchardt receipts, box tops, Campbell soup labels, and pop can tabs. You can bring them in at any time throughout the year

Math: This week we will pay for store items using dimes, identify seasons and graph favorite winter activity, compare length of objects and order objects by length.

Social Studies:  The Student of the Week is ...Addison Martinez.

Science: We will continue to discuss living/non-living and name 5 things that living things need (air, water, food, shelter and sun). We will also plant a seed and stone, predict what will happen and record periodic observations of their growth.

Skills to Work on:  *writing first & last name (lowercase)       *counting to 30      *writing numbers 1-20       *recognizing/ordering numbers 0-20      * birthday: month and date           *address and phone #
