POND SNAIL
My animal is about a pond snail. Pond snails have gills and mostly live under the water and gets oxygen from the water using organs called, gills. Pond snails feed on microscopic algae and animal remains. They are almost always found in still water. The pond snail lives in ponds and they eat algae. They move on wet, rough or smooth surfaces. The pond snail eat’s lettuce in an aquarium along with the plants and fish food found in the aquarium. A snail 's shell is situated a little behind it’s front end, of the snail's body and the whole body can be drawn into it. The shell is formed by a chalky substance given off by the snail. As the snail grows so does the snail's body. Pond snails fasten their eggs to the leaves of under water plants. Like land snails, they have both male and female reproductive organs. The pond snail is an interesting invertebrate animal.
