DENTAL   HYGIENE   LESSON

February 13, 2009 was more than a Valentine party day for our second-grade class.   A college student training to be a dental hygenist visited our class to show us proper cleaning and care of our teeth, along with a lesson in the food pyramid of healthy foods.   Pictured below is her demonstration of the inner parts of the tooth, along with teaching proper flossing techniques in buddy groups.   The floss was black string and the food was green, sticky styrafoam.   What a great learning experience for all!
