OPEN YOUR EYE!! That was the challenge given to second-grade students as they sat at tables with parent volunteers and worked under the instruction of Mrs. Terri Langton, instructor from the LISD, to open a sheep eyeball and separate parts. This learning experience came after a detailed science study of Light and Our Eyes. Students knew the names of each part of the eye from diagrams prior to the investigation, but got a realistic look at each eye part after pulling, cutting, and placing sheep eye parts on a bingo-like chart. It was definitely an eye-opening experience!
