FANTASTIC   ZOO   TRIP!

       Second graders from Blissfield Elementary visited the Toledo Zoo on Friday, October 30, 2009.   As part of their Science unit on the five vertebrate groups and the study of reptiles and amphibians, the students were looking forward to seeing the animals in action and classifying each into one of the five animal groups.   Later they were thrilled at the sight of a mother elephant and her baby grazing near the water, having a morning snack of pumpkins!   Take a moment to view the delighted faces of observers from my class as they peer at zoo critters.
