![]() ROYAL FITNESS SYLLABUS The purpose of Royal Fitness is to provide an opportunity for students to go in-depth on their current fitness levels. The focus will be a combination of strength development and cardiovascular development during class. The weight training portion of class will follow Blissfield High School’s Bigger-Faster-Stronger program. SAMPLE WEEKLY ROUTINE MONDAY - Strength development TUESDAY - Cardio / Ab workout WEDNESDAY - Strength development THURSDAY - Cardio / Ab workout FRIDAY - Strength development WEIGHT ROOM Students must keep their BFS charts up to date and accurate. The purpose of the chart is to help the student properly track their weight room progress. Cheating on the chart does the student no advantage. DRESS FOR CLASS All clothing worn must meet school dress code requirements.Clothing must be different than what is worn in other classes 1. SHIRT – t-shirt or sweatshirt - cannot have advertisement for T.A.O. D. (tobacco, alcohol other drugs). 2. PANTS – Shorts, sweats 3. HATS – can only be worn outside 4. SHOES – Must be worn at all times and must be an athletic shoe (no dress shoes, work boots). No open toed shoes are allowed (sandals or flip flops). GRADING
Ø 20 points per week possible Ø Dressing for class, class participation Ø Attitude, behavior The majority of the grade is based on ACTIVE PARTICIPATION in class – if you do not participate, you WILL NOT pass. 1. You must be in class to earn points 2. Make-up work is allowed for ABSENCES ONLY Ø You have one (1) week from the absence to make-up the work Ø It is YOUR (student) responsibility to see the teacher about making up the work – NOT the teacher. Ø Make-ups from weight room days must be made up in the weight room3. Not dressing for class will result in points being deducted Ø DRESS for class is MANDATORY. This means you will be marked down for not dressing. Not dressing results in a minus five (-5) points for the day. You are allowed to make-up a non-dress day by staying after school or coming in before school and running 2 miles on the track. This is the only way a non-dress can be made up. If you do not want to run the make-up, remember to dress everyday for class. GRADING SCALE % Scale 95-100 = A 90-94 = A- 80-89 = B 70-79 = C 65-69 = D 60-64 = D- 0-59 = F |
