The students of Blissfield Middle School presented the musical, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow on Thursday and Friday, November 5th and 6th at 7PM and Saturday, November 7th at 3PM.  Based on Washington Irving’s short story of the same name, this musical adaptation by Robert Maesaka and Jerry Estes provided an hour of light-hearted fun for the entire family—and a few spine-tingling moments as well! 

The Plot

When Ichabod Crane wanders into the village of Sleepy Hollow, he is instantly smitten with the lovely Katrina Van Tassel.  He accepts the position of schoolmaster, much to the chagrin of the town bully, Brom Bones, who also has eyes for Katrina.  A delightful cast of townspeople, naughty children, gossipy ladies, and one ghost on horseback provided a unique perspective on the famous tale.
