The Blissfield Education Foundation is

dedicated to the enhancement

of Blissfield public school education.  

 

 

Mini Grant Program

 

The primary focus of the Foundation is the Teacher Mini Grant Program.  The program offers a once-a-year opportunity for teachers to apply for educational enrichment programs & projects beyond the school budget.  A pottery wheel & kiln, drum kits, video equipment, stage risers, robotics supplies, and microscopes only  account for a portion of the nearly $100,000 awarded to date.

 

Special Projects

 

The Foundation also funds major projects within the schools.  Previous projects include the KELL lab receiving nearly $130,000 in Foundation funding, as well as the development of the Community Sports Park.  Most recently, the Foundation contributed to the new Marching Band Uniforms that were purchased.

Mission of BFEE

The mission of the Blissfield Education Foundation is to acquire and distribute resources to the Blissfield Community Schools for programs and projects which enhance and supplement learning opportunities for students, staff, and community.

 

Goals of BFEE

The Foundation will achieve its mission by directing support toward the following goals:

I.  To promote student development.

     a.  Provide resources for additional educational enrichment activities.
     b.  Provide resources for unique student learning needs.

II.  To encourage employee creativity and excellence.

     a. Support unique staff development opportunities for all employees.
     b.  Provide resources for innovative ideas and creative programming.

III.  To encourage school/community partnerships.

     a.  Promote community awareness about the Foundation and educational programs of the School District.
     b.  Provide a vehicle for individuals and organizations to contribute resources to enhance learning.
     c.  Provide an organization to facilitate cooperative ventures among the Foundation, community organizations, businesses, and industry.
     d.  Promote unity throughout the School District and community.

IV.  Provide for instructional technology.

V.  To promote the School District as a center for community learning and support.
