Students, parents, and community members, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2017-18 school year at Blissfield Elementary. Blissfield Elementary School serves approximately 525 students in grades Pre-K – 5. Our dedicated and caring professional teaching staff is made up of 30 highly qualified teachers. We are also able to provide the safest and most effective learning environment for our students with an extremely dedicated team of support staff including our office secretaries, a full time social worker, school nurse, and an extremely dedicated team of paraprofessionals and aides in our building.
Some of the programs and activities that highlight our busy school year include: Safety City, Royals After School Program (RASP), 5th Grade Little Leaders, Project Unify, Lunch Buddies, Reading Buddies, 5th Grade Wax Museum, Vocal and Band Music Concerts, 5th Grade Camp, Victorsville, Grandparents Day, Royal Savers Banking, Royal Walk, Purple/Gold Field Day, Heritage Day, and March is Reading Month activities. A few places our students enjoy visiting in our building include our recently refreshed Library/Media Center, state of the art computer labs, and of course, our BELL (Blissfield Environmental Life Lab) where students get hands-on while exploring the wonderful world of Science.
We look forward to having a wonderful 2017-18 school year. We encourage you to become as much of an influential factor in your child’s education as we believe we are. This process becomes most successful when we can accomplish this together as a team. If you have any questions or concerns at all, please do not hesitate to stop in and say hi, call, or send an e-mail.
