Dear BES Families:
The Blissfield Elementary School Staff and I are excited to welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year. We hope you are looking forward to a fantastic year of growth and learning as we are eager to provide a challenging and exciting educational experience for our students.
The first day of school for students in grades Y5-5th grade is Monday, August 25, 2025. This will be a full day of school for students. Our school time is 7:35 am-2:42 pm. The elementary building will open at 7:25 for students to enter the building.
Because of the current renovations taking place, BES will have a virtual Open House this year. You can use the link below to access the document. We will have a ‘Grand Opening’ of sorts once the renovations are complete so you can see first-hand all the hard work.
As a reminder, parents will need to update student information in their student’s portal. These updates need to be completed between August 6, 2025 and September 30, 2025. Please use the link below to do so. There is also a link below to fill out or update any transportation information.
Students will be able to have breakfast, lunch and milk again this year through our cafeteria service. Please visit the Blissfield Schools website for information regarding food services. You will also find monthly menus listed there.
To ensure student and staff safety, BES will continue our buzz-in system at the main doors of the school building. All other entrances will be locked throughout the school day. Upon entrance to the building, all visitors must check in at the office desk.
Another safety policy BES will enforce is the drop-off and pick-up of students at the front entrance of the school. The curb lane is for drop-off and pick-up only – no parking is allowed. This is meant to be a quick come-and-go process – no lingering will be allowed. Please do not drop your student off in the middle lane and allow them to cross traffic. If you wish to walk your child to the front doors, you must park in the lot.
